How do you mount the Urban Iki front seat with the ICR Adapter Acros?

Want to experience the best adventures on the bike with your little one? You can do that by mounting the Urban Iki front seat with the ICR Adapter Acros. This adapter is specifically designed for handlebars with an integrated cable system according to the Acros system. "Acros" is a type of handlebar stem. You can recognize this stem by the text "Acros" engraved on the front of the bike just below the stem. Read below to learn how to install it or watch the instruction video.

Install the front seat in a few steps on your Acros handlebar stem with integrated cables. You will need the following:

Install the front seat with the ICR adapter Acros in a few simple steps:

Step 1: Remove the cover cap from the handlebar stem of your bike.

Use your bike’s tools to remove the cover cap, for example, with an Allen wrench.

Step 2: Loosen the two horizontal bolts

Next, loosen the two horizontal bolts. They don’t need to be removed completely.

Step 3: Loosen the bolt that goes into the stem from above.

Tilt the handlebar forward to reveal the nut. Use an Allen key to fully loosen the bolt at the bottom.

Step 4: Loosen the two horizontal bolts

Next, loosen the two horizontal bolts. These need to be removed completely.

Step 5: Remove the spacers from the stem.

Carefully remove the handlebar from the stem. Let it hang down gently with the shifter cables. Remove all spacers from the stem.

 

Step 6: Slide the clamp ring onto the stem.

While carefully guiding the cables into the designated grooves, slide the clamp ring onto the stem. You will hear a click when the clamp ring fits properly onto the stem.

Step 7: Slide the ICR adapter Acros onto the stem.

Remove the cover from the adapter. Guide the cables through the adapter into the designated slots and slide the adapter on top of the clamp ring. It will only click into place in one correct way, so pay close attention to this.

Step 8: Mount the handlebar onto the bike.

Place the handlebar back onto your bike and install the cover. Tighten it securely by fastening the bolt at the top of the stem, the two horizontal bolts, and the bolt at the front of the clamp ring. Ensure that the metal bolt is fully inserted into the handlebar. When tightening, make sure to keep the handlebar straight.

Step 9: Secure the handlebar in the correct position

Tilt the handlebar back up and secure it by tightening the two bolts.

Step 10: Reinstall the cover onto the stem.

Place the cover back onto the stem and tighten it with the bolt.

Step 11: Would you like to also install an Urban Iki windscreen?

Slide the included bracket over the front of the adapter. Secure it by tightening the ring and bolt at the two spots. The bracket is now firmly mounted, ready to attach the windscreen.

If you’re not installing a windscreen, simply reinstall the cover onto the front of the adapter.

Step 12: Mount the Urban Iki front seat onto the ICR adapter Acros.

Take the Urban Iki front seat and, at the bottom of the seat, pull the tab down while pulling the part you’re holding towards you. Slide the seat onto the ICR adapter Acros until you hear a ‘click’. Then, check to make sure the seat is securely attached.

This is how you disassemble the Urban Iki front seat from the ICR adapter Acros:

Press the tab at the bottom of the Urban Iki front seat and slide the seat upwards. Then, follow the steps from bottom to top to disassemble the ICR adapter.
