How to mount the AVS+ rear seat

AVS+ luggage carriers are developed to easily switch accessories on your bike. Within minutes, your bicycle bags can be swapped for a child seat or another smart accessory. And if you want to travel light, you can remove all accessories just as easily. Why the AVS+ system is ideal

With the Urban Iki AVS+ rear seat, you decide what you are going to do at any time. Do you want to go out spontaneously with your little one? No problem, with the AVS+ seat you attach it within minutes. And if your plans change, you remove it just as easily.

 

Mount the AVS+ rear seat in 5 steps

Step 1: Assemble the Urban Iki rear seat

Take the left and right leg part of the rear seat and click them together by pressing the two parts in V-shape against each other. Hang down the safety strap that is attached tot he seat. Now, slide the seat horizontally from the back of the leg part forward until you hear a clear ‘click’.

Step 2: Place the rear seat on the AVS+ carrier

Place the integrated AVS+ plate on the bottom of the child seat onto the AVS+ luggage carrier. Make sure the securing strap rests on the seat. To lock the seat into place, pull the black knob at the back of the seat outward. Then lift the lever and push the bike seat downward. The seat will now click into the system. If the red sticker switches to green, the seat is properly secured. Check if the seat is firmly attached by briefly moving it back and forth.

Step 3: Attach the safety strap

Put the safety strap around the frame of your bike. Make sure both buckles are on both sides of the frame tube.

Step 4: Lock the bike seat.

Turn the key to the right to lock the bike seat.

Step 5: Adjust the rear seat to your child

Now that the seat is properly secured, adjust the footrests to the correct height by moving the levers at the back of the leg parts upwards.

The shoulder straps can be put at two different heights and can be adjusted using the buckles.

How do I demount the Urban Iki AVS+ rear seat?

Loosen the securing strap and place it on the seat. Unlock the bike seat by turning the key to open the lock. Then pull the AVS+ knob on the back of the seat outward and lift the lever. The seat will now detach from the AVS+ luggage carrier.
