Urban Iki back seats for your bike are available in the most beautiful colors. Color is an important ingredient of that special Iki feeling. The color Bincho Black, for instance, is inspired by the distinctive Japanese Binchotan charcoal. The soft sweetness in our Sakura Pink bicycle seats is inspired by the cherry blossoms that bloom in the Japanese spring. You can almost smell them! Dutch design, inspired by Japan

East and West come together in the design of our rear seats for kids. The elegant and functional shape is Dutch Design at its best. With soft padding at the shoulders and a water-repellent seat cushion, the seat provides superior comfort in all weather conditions. The practical design is topped off with decorations and details inspired by Japan, including a unique woven pattern in the seatbelt. These decorations give our seats a special touch and refer to the Japanese roots of Urban Iki.

When you have purchased a rear seat for your child, you want to hit the road as soon as possible. That is why our seats are designed to have you ready within just 5 minutes. With the supplied mounting materials, installing your seat is a piece of cake. If you want to travel light, you can detach the seat in just a few seconds with our smart Click & Go system. The 5-point safety belt can be easily opened with one hand, so you keep your other hand free to balance your bike. For even more user friendliness, all parts of the rear seat can be adjusted without needing tools.

Urban Iki offers rear bike seats with various mounting options. With the standard materials for carrier mounting, you can mount the rear seat on any standard (and not-so-standard) luggage carrier. The mounting frame can be adjusted to adapt it to different carrier shapes. It even fits on e-bikes with a battery pack on the carrier. The mounting frame is also sold separately, so you can easily switch the back seat between your bikes.
Do you have a bike with an integrated MIK HD system? Choose MIK HD mounting to switch effortlessly between your bicycle seat and other MIK HD accessories! Don’t have a luggage carrier? No problem. With our frame mounting bracket you quickly create a reliable attachment point for your child seat.

We understand that you want to make cycling with your child as safe as possible. That is why safety is always our top priority. All Urban Iki rear seats meet high safety requirements. Not only the high standards in Japan, but the demanding European EN14344 standard as well. The seats have also been tested and approved by the independent German safety institute TÜV.

Why choose a rear seat for your bike?

When your little one can sit up straight for a longer period of time without help, you can take them along in a bicycle seat (in our magazine you will read at what age your child is allowed in a rear seat). It doesn’t really matter if you choose a front seat for your baby or a back seat. A rear bicycle can be used for a longer time before they grow out of it and are ready for a Junior bicycle seat.
