Meet the Urban Iki Family: Clifton, Harriet & Zara-Rose

At Urban Iki, it’s all about having fun on the bike – and Clifton, Harriet and their little daughter Zara-Rose know all about that! This lovely family first connected with us during a photoshoot in May 2023. Harriet was introduced to our marketing team by a friend of the Urban Iki team. That first shoot left us wanting more, and they have since become the faces of Urban Iki – you can spot them in our webshop, on our print materials, and at trade fairs, where they shine like no other!

And… soon, there will be double the cycling fun because they are expecting twins! That means even more family bike rides ahead. We asked them what cycling means to them and how Urban Iki plays a role in their adventures.

Cycling with a smile

For Clifton and Harriet, cycling isn’t just about getting from A to B – it’s an experience. “We almost always sing songs, and when we ride over a bridge, we try to get trucks and cars to honk. We have so much fun together!” Harriet says enthusiastically.

While their own grandparents live too far away to visit by bike, they cherish fond memories of cycling as children. “I used to bike to my grandparents’ house with my mom almost every week. Now, we’re creating our own special memories with Zara-Rose.”

A fun day on set

Clifton, Harriet, and Zara-Rose were also part of an Urban Iki photoshoot, and it was a big success! “The best part of the shoot? The amazing team! They made it so much fun and played with Zara-Rose in between shots,” they say with big smiles.

Favorite Urban Iki must-haves

As loyal Urban Iki fans, they have a clear favorite: the rear seat with the matching bag. “The bag is perfect for carrying snacks and drinks, and it easily attaches to the bike seat,” Harriet explains.

Why Urban Iki?

Would Clifton and Harriet recommend Urban Iki to their friends? “Absolutely! The design is beautiful, the colors are stunning, and it’s easy to install on the bike. In short, Urban Iki makes cycling moments even more fun, practical, and stylish!”

And the Iki Feeling? When asked about the Iki feeling, they had to think for a moment. “No idea… but it’s Japanese, right?” We can reveal it to them: the Iki feeling is the sense of happiness you get from cycling together with your loved ones. And Clifton, Harriet, and Zara-Rose embody that feeling perfectly!

With twins on the way, cycling might soon become a bit of a logistical challenge, but Harriet and Clifton take it all in stride. “Maybe we should invent an Urban Iki tandem!” Clifton jokes. One thing is certain: this family will continue to create beautiful cycling moments together!
