Step 1: Attach the foot straps and place the footrests
Properly place the foot straps in the footrests. Then click the footrests into the seat.
All you need to do to install an Urban Iki Easyfix rear seat is to place the seat on your luggage rack and tighten the knob. This provides a secure attachment that is just as reliable and safe as our other bike seats. The great thing is that the bike seats are just as easy to remove, so you can use your luggage rack for carrying groceries for example.
Properly place the foot straps in the footrests. Then click the footrests into the seat.
Ensure that the clamps are wide enough apart to create space to place the rear seat on your bike. Do this by pressing the rotary knob and then turning it to the left.
Now place the Easyfix rear seat on the luggage rack, ensuring that the safety strap rests on the seat. Make sure the four clamps fit around the luggage rack. If necessary, turn the rotary knob to the left to widen the space between the clamps.
Rotate the rotary knob to the right to secure the seat to the luggage rack. Check if the seat is firmly attached by briefly moving it back and forth. The rear seat is now securely on your bike.
Next, wrap the safety strap around the bike frame and fasten it. Ensure that both buckles are on either side of the frame tube. Secure the remaining portion of the strap in the smaller buckle so that it doesn’t hang loose towards the wheel
Now that the seat is securely attached, adjust the footrests to the correct height by moving the clamps at the back towards each other.
The shoulder straps can be adjusted to three heights and tightened or loosened using the buckles.
First, release the safety strap. Then, press the button on the side of the bike seat and turn it to the left to loosen it. The seat will now come off the luggage rack.
Your spontaneous bike rides can begin! and because we believe cycling should be both fun and safe, you can also opt for an Urban Iki bycicle helmet. Have a great trip!
