How to mount the Urban Iki Junior MIK HD rear seat onto your bike

Why the MIK HD system is ideal

With the Urban Iki MIK HD seat, you decide what you are going to do at any time. Do you want to go out spontaneously with your little one? No problem, with the MIK HD seat you attach it within minutes. And if your plans change, you remove it just as easily.

 

Mount the MIK HD Junior seat in 5 steps

Step 1: Mount the footrests

Click the two footrests upwards. Loosen the screws and take off the semi-circular casing.

Step 2: Attach the footrests

Mount the footrests to the rear wheel frame and place the semi-circular housing for mounting on the opposite side. Now tighten the two screws, but do not tighten them fully yet. Use the Allen key for this.

Step 3: Place the Junior seat on the MIK HD carrier

Put the integrated MIK HD plate at the bottom of the seat on the MIK HD luggage carrier. Make sure that at this point, the safety strap rests on the seat. To secure the seat, press down the black button at the back of the seat. While holding the black button down, push the gray MIK HD button forward, towards the seat. The bike seat is now securely attached to the system. Check if the seat is firmly attached by briefly moving it back and forth.

Step 4: Attach the safety strap

Put the safety strap around the frame of your bike. Make sure both buckles are on both sides of the frame tube. Secure the remaining part of the safety strap in the smaller buckle so that it doesn’t hang loose towards the wheel.

Step 5: Ride away safely

When you are ready to ride away, you can place the backrest up or down. Lift the cushion to use the safety belt. If you are not using it, safely tuck it away under the seat.

How to demount the Urban Iki MIK HD Junior seat

Release the safety strap and place it onto the seat. Press the MIK HD button at the rear of the seat and continue pressing towards the seat. The seat will now release from the MIK HD carrier
